That’s right, after Spain and a quick return to Portugal, the voyage continued in England. 12 days, ravishing! On the first day I spent over 60 pounds in books and discs (I finally got GoodBook’s Control!), and later on I bought some more books. In total, nine books and five discs.

London was great, I stumbled upon Leicester Square the day of the premiere of Harry Potter, man, were ther hundreds of brits in line! Then it began to rain so we didn’t stick around to see the actors arriving (and Emma Watson’s dressing issues, lol), although it brings a smile to my face to think how soaked Potter’s fans must have ended.

Next stop was Oxford, and let me tell you, walking around MAgdalen College really makes you wish you were studying there, it is beatiful and let’s mot forget thet the University of Oxford is one of the best in the world. And Trinity College wasn’t too shabby either. And the Bodleian Library, that holds at least one copy of every book ever printed in England, or Blenheim Palace, the greates palace in Britain.

Then we went to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s land, and marry, they are obsessed with the Bard of the Beard. Everywhere you turned you saw something like; Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Shakespeare’s mother’s house, the church where it is believed Shakespear was christened, the tree that is a descendant of the one Shakespeare planted, Shakespeare’s tomb, and so on. It’s a great buisness, because these places aren’t cheap, but they are swarmed all day long.

The original plan was to go to Cambridge as well, but it was not to be, because it ended up being too complicated getting there from Stratford, so we returned to London (by the way, did I mention that all the time we were in London we stayed in a student’s Hall?). There, we went on Wednesday to The Old Vic Theatre to watch my favorite Shakespeare play; A Winter’s Tale (curious how it was midsummer at the time, and it was also night, so A Midsommer’s Night Dream would have been more fitting) and on Thursday we went to Shakespeare’s Globe to watch another of Shakespeare’s plays; As You Like It, which was really fun. And on the final day we watched a kind of Juggling Show (the only thing in the whole trip that was free, well, that and air) which was hilarious. And that was it, and now I am missing England, especially every time I get into a car and feel all the heat, wheras in England we had template climate and some rain, aww, I miss it. Oh well, see you all later, cheers!

I have one particular complaint of the flight from Mexico City to Heathrow; there should be a law restraining people from trsaveling in transatlantic flights with children under the age of 10. Because yes, there was a couple of youbglings right in front of me screaming throughout a large part of the flight. Add that to the lady who kept kicking my seat from behind and insomnia and you get once more, a ten hour trip without any sleep, none. Oh well.

I was so tired by the time we reached Heathrow I almost forgot I was in London, if only for a few hours. Then it was back to a plane aiming for Lisbon, with a couple of loud children as well, if I ay add. Dreadful.

The first day here at Lisbon was alright. We visited most of the city, including St George’s castle, a great fortified city, a nd we even got lost while touring the city in bus. It was fun though. We rounded up the evening with some music, a brazilian band playing outdoors after some coffee, and that was it, back to the hotel for some rest and another long day tomorrow. Nice!
